Antique Sterling Silver, Onyx and Moonstone Bracelet
This Victorian era bracelet is so unique! Made of sterling silver and hallmarked twice on the back it features a pair of rectangular onyx plaques, set with moonstone cabochons and held into extraordinary frames complete with decorative scrolls, intricate wire work and acanthus leaf details. Bridging the distance between the two panels is a four petal flower, a pretty feature which is repeated twice more in the bracelet links. Two larger moonstones make up additional links in the chain before it tapers slightly to the clasp. The overall length is 7” and the width north to south across the leaf-tipped frames is 1-3/8”. The bracelet has a gorgeous natural patina that creates a wonderful contrast in brightness between the high and low points. This brings out the best in the details as only a century’s worth of patina can do!
