Victorian Twin Turquoise and Diamond Ring
This ring is so lovely! It dates to right around 1880, the height of the fabulous Victorian era. The twin turquoise cabochons have a rich, deep robin's egg blue color which is gorgeously complimented by the rosy hue of the gold. Nestled snugly between the turquoise are two twinkling single cut diamonds. All of the stones are secured with elongated slender prongs which contribute to the wonderful textural quality of the ring. Nicely framing the stones on the left and right are two symmetrical tapered panels that have pretty little carved dots through the center. As the panels taper further to become the shank there is a hand carved geometric decoration...a great added detail! Measuring north to south, from diamond to diamond, the ring is 9.5mm wide. From left to right across the turquoise stones, the measurement is 10mm. The shank measures a comfortable 2mm wide. Currently the ring is a size 8-1/2 and is sizable upon request.
