Antique Turquoise and Rose Cut Diamond Ring, Art Nouveau Era 14k Gold, Circa 1910
An absolutely lovely antique turquoise ring with design motifs that are best described as a transitional bridge between Art Nouveau and Art and Crafts. The rose cut diamond shoulders beautifully combine curvilinear and angular shapes that serve as a pleasing, glittery little frame around the turquoise. Set in a simple 14k yellow gold bezel, the turquoise shows off it’s 100 year old patina displaying varied shades of sea green and pale aqua with faint waves of golden brown throughout. Overall this ring is just a wonderful juxtaposition of textures and colors. North to south measures 18mm and east to west outside the bezel measures 9mm. The start of the decorative shoulder measures 11.5mm north to south and tapers to 3mm where the shank begins. Currently a size 7-1/2 and sizable upon request.
