Siam Princess Ring in 14k Gold and Pearls
This beautiful example of a Siam “Princess” ring was made right around 1940 and is unusual in that it was designed using all pearls. More often this classic style ring uses a variety of mixed gemstones, not a singular type. Here, the use of pearls only gives the ring a slightly more elegant feel and certainly makes it a bit more unique! The details throughout are really wonderful and are worth s closer look: the cannetille style shoulders, the tiny scalloped flower centerpiece and especially the heavily carved underside! The gold is solid 14k and the size is 6. The measurement across the base of the lowest tier of pearls is 20mm. The height of the peak as it sits above your finger is 13mm. Sizing up or down is available upon request.
