1930s Flapper Open Back Crystal Rivière Necklace, Sterling Silver
This quintessential flapper girl necklace is far above average! Set in sterling silver the rich purple crystals vary in shade from dark lavender to deep royal. The facets are crisp and the stones are extremely brilliant. They flash remarkably in bright or dim lighting, indoors or out. There’s a subtle symmetrical pattern as they alternate in size, primarily 9-1/2 to 10mm with the occasional, well-placed 12mm stone. The center comes to a point with a provocative, plunging “Y” design detail. Captivating on bare skin with a low cut dress but also very stylish if you let it just disappear below the neckline of a casual shirt. The clasp is well disguised as a small tongue snaps in beneath one final crystal. Not stamped but tested and guaranteed sterling silver. The length end to end is 22” with the center drop measuring 2-1/2”. The quality of this necklace is obvious at first glance but when you simply hold it or put it on it suddenly feels even better!
