1930s Portuguese Hallmarked Silver and Enamel Cannetille Link Bracelet
This bracelet is so fine...exquisitely made and with the most exceptional little details! The clasp is stamped with a small hallmark that indicates it is silver and was made c. 1938 in Portugal (a rooster head with 833 below). The silver has a bright gold vermeil that gives the appearance of being 18 or even 24k gold. The delicate cannetille wire work provides a wonderful texture and the cobalt blue enamel is glossy and perfect. The blue is so vibrant and is a very nice contrast against the bright gold vermeil. The elongated links that connect each of the ten domed medallions are smooth and securely soldered closed...generally an insignificant detail yet in this case it contributes to the overall quality of the piece and thoughtfulness of the jeweler. As a result, the bracelet has an excellent fluidity and gives a very convincing impression of being fine jewelry. Each medallion is 1/2" around with the entire length measuring 7" and 1/2" wide. If the length is too long for you please let me know. I'd be happy to assist in removing a link or two to acquire the appropriate measurement.
