Art Nouveau Emerald Cabochon and Sapphire Ring
The emeralds and sapphires in this Art Nouveau ring were so beautifully arranged into slender, flowing fronds in a way that evokes an artistic impression of nature. Designers of that period (circa 1900) found much inspiration in nature and I feel certain that the jeweler involved in making this ring was inspired by ocean plant life. The fronds convey a wonderful sense of movement as if they may still wave gently from side to side! The ring was entirely handmade using 14k yellow gold and silver. The gems are genuine emerald cabochons and genuine blue sapphires. The sapphires vary slightly in size and shade, ranging from dark royal blue to light cornflower blue. The emeralds have a majestic glow about them as the light illuminates their beautiful color. From tip to tip the length of the ring is approximately 32mm. From the shank down measures about 14.5mm. And from the shank up is approximately 16.5mm. The shank itself is 1mm wide. Currently the ring measures as a 6-1/2 and can be sized up or down in any increment upon request. This ring is certainly a work of art in the truest sense. A stunning example of Art Nouveau design and quite wearable as well. This is a piece of jewelry you'll likely treasure for many years.
