Ultra Mod 1960s Beaded Lariat Necklace
How amazing is this necklace?!! It's so super Mod! Made in the 1960s, it is comprised of two strands of white glass beads, two strands of black glass beads and a continuous length of aluminum chain. The five strands are neatly braided into a 40-1/2" long lariat. Each end terminates with a 3/4" round bead and a playful 3" long tassel. The fun of a lariat is that you can wear it in a multitude of ways! You can let it hang straight down in front, you can loop the ends loosely, you can wrap it several times around your neck for a shorter look, and the possibilities go on and on! This style of necklace was very popular in the 1920s and was revived in the 1960s. This is a 60s version and a really great one at that!! The black and white color scheme is classic!
