ON LAYAWAY...Amazing 60s Mexican Fire Opal Statement Ring
This ring is on layaway.
This ring does an incredible job showcasing the natural beauty of opals. Set proudly in the center is an unbelievable Mexican Fire opal. Rarely seen with so much fire, this example is not only breathtaking for its coloring but it is huge! The length from end to end is an impressive 18.5mm and the width at it’s center is 7mm. The most prominent color is a tangerine orange with constant neon flashes of yellow and green and a deeper reddish-orange. It’s obvious why they call it a “Fire Opal”! This stone is utterly fascinating, a true marvel, a natural wonder! Forming a frame around the Fire Opal is a halo of 14 blue jelly opals. Their contrasting shades in the purple, pink and blue spectrum are the perfect compliment to the colors in the main stone. Your eyes literally go back and forth in awe at how many colors dance around in each stone. Some with stronger purple, some with bright pink flashes and green undertones. Adding a nice texture overall are two small gold beads nestled between each jelly opal. The simple shoulders reach upwards from the shank like a bridge which allows the ring to sit protected and comfortable. The measurement from north to south is 31mm and east to west measures 21mm. The current size is a 9 and sizing up or down is available upon request. If you’re looking for a showstopper of an opal ring I think this is it!
