Lucille de Paris Genuine Alligator Leather Purse, Circa 1960
This stylish 1960s handbag is made of genuine alligator by “Lucille de Paris”. It was sold through one of the most respected high end department stores, Bergdorf Goodman. Condition is excellent! The inside is immaculate and the outside is glossy and scuff-free. The handle shows minor signs of use but nothing problematic or weak. The design is so sleek and clean that although it’s nearly 80 years old it could easily have been designed today. A solid testament of a good design! The measurements are 8” across the top, 8-1/4” across the bottom, 2-1/4” deep and 7-1/4” tall. The handle distance from the purse frame to the center of the strap is 5-1/2”. Best for hand held or in the crook of your elbow.
