SALE! (was 265.00) Incredibly Rare Early Hobé Star Brooch or Pendant
20% off original price of $265!
This very desirable, early Hobé star brooch is a real treasure! Although the star is unsigned, the design and technique is very recognizable as 1930s Hobé. In that era their jewelry featured such characteristics as brass filigree loops and twirls, prong-set open-back stones and a pierced lower gallery. Often the brooches had the same hidden bale as can be seen on this particular example. The colors used here are so lovely and vibrant! They range from a deep sapphire blue to a light aqua blue to a magenta ruby shade and then topped off with a delightful candy pink stone in the center. The overall size is approximately 3" around (measuring from point to point). The pin mechanism measures 1-3/4" from hinge to clasp and functions properly. This is a very wonderful collector's piece that is also quite wearable. The star motif is always chic and relative no matter your age or the season! I consider the condition to be "very good". There are no missing stones, no missing prongs and only normal, minor wear to the piece as a whole. So keeping in mind that this beautiful star is nearly 90 years old, some wear is to be expected! I think the lucky recipient will be very pleased with the brilliance and quality of this brooch!
