Antique Garnet and Pearl Hinged Bangle, Circa 1900
This Victorian era bangle has such an impressive and classically regal look about it! Made from solid 14k gold, the top half is accented in a contrasting layer of silver and set with three large, faceted red garnets. Between the garnets is a series of deeply carved leaf-like blossoms, each of which are set with two natural gray pearls. Adding further to the bracelet's depth and texture are four small gold beads that are the perfect way to visually tie the gold and silver together. The lower half of the bangle is pierced with lattice-like openings providing a slight airiness that serves to balance out the ornate decoration across the upper portion. The bangle is 3/8" wide on center measuring north to south across the center garnet. The inside dimensions are 2-1/4" from hinge to clasp and 2-1/16" from top to bottom which will comfortably fit any wrist between 6" and 6-3/4" around. Any concerns about fit please just let me know and I'll be more than happy to help.
