1960s Handmade 18k Turquoise and Diamond Ring
Likely made in or around the 1960s, this beautifully handcrafted ring just screams Mid Century chic! The gold is solid 18k and has a wonderful, rich hue. At the center is a prong set greenish-blue turquoise cabochon surrounded by six sparkling diamonds. The diamonds are each held in place with several tiny little prongs that make them look more like twinkly stars! The balance of the ring, perhaps the most extraordinary part, is made up of dozens of gold beads that were arranged so precisely and etched by hand with a delicate Florentine finish. The end result is a remarkable, eye-catching texture and a rather impressive piece of fine jewelry! The ring is comfortable to wear and is a very flattering shape. The width north to south is 14.5mm. The height to the top of the turquoise is approximately 8.5mm. The shank tapers from 3mm to 2mm and is hallmarked “18K” on the inside. Currently the ring measures as a 7-3/4 and is sizable up or down upon request.
