Victorian Emerald and Rose Cut Diamond Navette Ring
Dating from the last decade of the 19th century and with a lovely engraving to prove it this petite navette ring is a real beauty! With slender proportions it measures 16mm long and 5.5mm wide which equates to a very wearable example of the style. The navette shape can sometimes be exaggerated in length so I find this one to be nice in its subtlety. Twenty-two twinkling rose cut diamonds surround three deep green emeralds which vary in size from 1.8mm to 2.5mm. Over the years the 14k gold has acquired a warm, antique hue with just the right amount of patina. For a ring that has survived nearly 125 years it’s condition is astounding! Every little bead-set stone is secure and there’s only the most minor blemish to one of the smaller emeralds. Unnoticeable on the hand yet I want to be sure to point it out. Currently the ring measures as a size 7-3/4 and sizing up or down is available upon request.
