1930s Platinum Diamond Cocktail Watch, Deco Elegance
What an elegant accessory! This dreamy diamond watch is not only functional but beautiful! The case is solid platinum and was hand carved with tremendous skill. The Art Deco patterns displayed are exceptionally intricate and studded with 58 brilliant transitional cut diamonds. The north and south ends of the case are like two beautiful crowns that are in fact separate from the central oval. They meet the center section seamlessly with a hidden hinge that allows them to bend slightly in a manner to match the curve of your wrist. The case has been fitted with a 14k white gold mesh cord which I find to be a perfectly suitable match. The edges and back of the case are also hand carved with extraordinary details. The face of the watch is clean and easy to read behind what I believe to be the original crystal. The crystal is completely free of scratches yet there is one small blemish on the very edge, inside between the 9 and 10. This does not effect the ability to read the numbers whatsoever and is likely to go unnoticed. However, I will gladly replace the crystal upon request at no charge. I simply want the new owner to make that decision. That being said, the watch is otherwise in excellent condition and the movement works perfectly. As far as cocktail watches go, this one is of an impressive size. The case, measuring a full 1-1/2" long, covers a significant portion of your wrist therefore wearing much like a fancy bracelet. This is a gorgeous piece of jewelry that will add class and sophistication to any outfit or occasion. Currently the length of the case plus the strap is 6-1/2". The end fittings on the strap are designed so that it may be adjusted. In this case I can make it smaller by any increment needed. Just let me know!
