Art Deco Faceted Black Onyx and Gold Geometric Bracelet
This sleek and elegant Art Deco bracelet has the most delightful details! The design is comprised of seven onyx panels which are connected to one another with the most wonderful little geometric links. The onyx pieces are flat on the bottom and cut with seven long, parallel facets that run the full length of the stone. Each of the stones are set into their own 9k yellow gold mounting which has an open back, heavy angled base and simple bezel. The portion of the mounting that sits hidden below the stone is not something you usually pay much attention to but in my opinion this element is one of the key features that takes this bracelet from good to great! It's rather simple, but the way each gold mounting angles in slightly causes them to be virtually invisible yet they elevate the onyx pieces above your wrist ever so slightly. Again, a minor detail yet it results in a quality that you wouldn't get if the stones just sat flat on your skin. And finally, a detail worthy of closer inspection is the clasp! It is incredibly ornate having deeply engraved designs on both sides. One of the long sides is a discreet little pin that pushes inward by a hidden spring mechanism. It holds closed continuously until you press on the pin with either your finger or the opposite end of the bracelet. There is no hallmark or makers mark present on the bracelet but the gold does test appropriately for 9k. The length is 7-1/4". Each of the onyx panels measure approximately 7/8" long and 5/16" wide. If the current length is too long just let me know. I'd be happy to discuss sizing options.
