Stunning Deco Aquamarine Diamond Dinner Ring
Oh my goodness! This ring is just so beautiful. If they make rings in heaven this must be what they look like!
Made in the 1920s and hallmarked on the inside by the JJ White company this ring exhibits the most wonderful lace-like 14k white gold filigree. Very light and airy the filigree works beautifully in combination with the icy blue Aquamarines and little sparkling diamonds. The overall impression it gives is classic elegance and timeless ethereal beauty. The proportions are feminine and flattering to your finger with an elongating effect. What a stunning piece for a bride to wear as her "something blue"!
The JJ White company was renowned for exceptional filigree with some of their work done in chromium and some in gold. And here we have a perfect example of their work in gold. The stones are genuine fancy cut Aquamarine. Positioned diagonally and separating the aquas are two gold segments which are intricately milgrained and set with two small, glittery diamonds. The outer edges of each of these segments is etched with a lovely little starburst detail. The ring is in absolutely remarkable condition with only one tiny chip on the corner of the center stone. As far as chips go, this one is in the best place possible (under the edge of one of the diagonal segments) which renders it virtually invisible. In the main photo, zoom in to see the upper left corner of the center aqua. Again, it is a very minor blemish but please do use the photo to help you understand what a small effect it has on the ring as a whole.
The measurement north to south is an impressive 27mm with the center width measuring 12mm. The height, as it will rise above your finger, is approximately 6mm to the table of the aquas. Currently the ring is a size 5-3/4 and is sizable upon request.
