Mid Century 14k Gold Hinged Bangle, Circa 1950
This bracelet has all you could want in a gold bangle! The midcentury design offers a very eye-catching texture with a central twisted rope and symmetrically beaded border contained within two simple tubular bands. The gold is 14k and it has a beautiful, buttery tone. The general shape is a domed oval with a discreet hinge directly opposite a sturdy, push-button tongue and groove style clasp. There is a fine gold safety chain in place as well however the clasp locks and holds very securely. In fact the overall construction is very fine! The hinge is virtually seamless and the pattern of the beaded border is so precise and regular! It's really quite a wonderful bracelet. It's the kind of thing that'll likely become your new, everyday bracelet...an immediate favorite! The inner dimension is 2-1/4" by 1-7/8" and will be an ideal fit for a wrist that measures between 5-3/4" and 6-1/2" around. The width of the bangle is 7/16" or just shy of 1/2". If you have any concerns or questions about the fit just let me know! I'd be happy to offer my help.
