Early Deco Hand Carved Platinum Two Stone Diamond Ring
This is a wonderful example of a 1920's hand carved platinum ring...excellent deco geometry combined with feminine scrolls and two stunning Old European cut diamonds! The two diamonds are bead set within a shallow octagonal frame and are approximately .25ct each. They have been estimated as H color and SI1 clarity. Nestled close in between the two diamonds are two genuine blue sapphires. Worked into the rest of the ring are six smaller diamonds (+/-.16cttw to .20cttw) that bring the whole thing to life! The design of the ring manages an excellent balance of carved elements and negative space. The open, negative spaces, give the ring a sense of depth and airiness that is very pleasing and nicely highlights the geometry. The measurement north to south is 12mm. The north and south points curve gently to meet at the sides where the 1.5mm knife-edge shank begins. Currently the ring measures as an 8 on the mandrel and is sizable upon request. However, if you require a size much smaller than a 6 please just contact me first. I would want to confirm with my jeweler that your size is do-able.
