Classic Deco-Era Diamond Engagement Ring
This classic 1930's solitaire is anything but ordinary! The +/-.40ct transitional cut diamond shines exquisitely, being a near colorless VVS. And a simple, 6 prong mounting is the ideal way to show off a diamond of this quality. The stone sits proudly, securely mounted in it's prongs, above a slender, elegantly curved shank. At the very base of the diamond, the shank measures 3mm wide and it tapers gradually to become 1mm wide at the base. The cut of this diamond is really something to behold. The crown is relatively high, the girdle is relatively thin and the facets are all crisp and clean. Looking face-down into the diamond is where you can really appreciate the cutter's creative license! Blossoming from a small culet, the facets resemble a delicate 8-petaled flower or 4-leaf clover. Without question this diamond is extremely brilliant with magnificent fire. And the ring itself is best described as classically elegant with understated beauty! Currently a size 6 and sizable upon request.
