Mid-Century Baguette Diamond Ring with Impressively Large Golden Pearl
This ring is simple and elegant and utterly timeless! Likely made in or around the 1950s, the metal is 14k white gold and is set with two gently curved rows of baguette cut diamonds (+/- G color and +/- VS1 clarity). The diamonds graduate in size from one to the next and have a combined total weight of approximately .50ct. The design is such that the two rows of diamonds create a wide bypass that serves as the cradle for a stunning 9mm golden pearl. The pearl rests securely in a fluted little cup which is connected to a narrow bridge you can see from underneath. The pearl has a gorgeous, smooth nacre which subtly reflects warm tones in hues of gold, pink and blue. The contrast of the pearl's golden color with the diamonds' bright whiteness is very captivating! And the mid century design is a wonderfully simple way to showcase this miraculous pearl specimen. A timeless piece of fine jewelry, an instant heirloom! Currently the ring is a size 4-1/2 and is sizable upon request.
