SALE! (was 535.00) Georgian Silver and Paste Chandelier Earrings
These earrings are almost 200 years old! Made during the Georgian period, therefore dating to around 1830, they are silver and feature foil-backed paste stones. Rather than being used to imitate diamonds paste stones were highly revered for their own unique beauty and reflective quality. As a result, paste jewelry of this era is typically of very fine quality and craftsmanship.
This pair of magnificent chandelier style earrings have posts for pierced ears. They measure approximately 2" long from post to bottom of longest dangle. The stones are all in tact and have acquired a subtle, warm patina over the years. Beneath the bright glimmer and sparkle are hints soft golden and smokey hues. Overall, theses earrings are simply incredible. Stunning in every sense of the word!
