Antique Old Mine Cut Diamond Honeymoon Necklace
This sensational necklace was converted from a Victorian era "honeymoon" brooch. It is solid 14k gold with a beautiful rosy patina and fifteen old mine cut diamonds. The diamonds are all prong set and are of graduated sizes. They range in color (G-M) and clarity (VS-I) with a total weight of approximately .85ct. The crescent is such a feminine and graceful shape that tapers from 4mm at the center to 1mm at the ends. The construction on the back is such that light can filter through behind the diamonds giving them even more illuminance. As the moon gradually tapers to a point on each end it connects to a contemporary 1mm thick 14k rose gold chain. The final length of the necklace is 15" which has it falling at such a flattering place right along the collarbone. This necklace is very, very elegant but also extremely wearable. It's definitely a piece you could wear on an every day basis but could also be something you reserve for special occasions. And whatever you decide, you'll be glad you have it!
