Extraordinary Diamond Cocktail Ring
This ring took my breath away! It's a stunning example of a 1950s era cocktail ring that was custom made using family diamonds. The center diamond is an Old European cut and weighs approximately .50ct. The color and clarity are very good and are estimated as G and VVS. The 44 side diamonds are single cuts weighing approximately .50ct tw. They are very well matched at G to H color and VS to SI clarity. The shank is marked 14k and tests accordingly. Additional markings inside the shank are "1.02" which indicates the total diamond weight, and also a maker's mark alongside the 14k. The maker's mark consists of 2 or 3 letters fitted inside of a diamond shape. To me, the letters appear to be C P or possibly C I P. After lengthy research I came up empty-handed so I'm not able to declare who the maker was. In any case it is an absolute stunner. The diamonds sparkle unbelievably! Please feel free to visit my Instagram (reverienyc) where you'll find a video of the ring twinkling!!
It's currently a size 7-1/2 and is sizable upon request.
