True Art Deco 18k Diamond Dinner Ring
A true Art Deco delight! This 18k white gold dinner ring was hand carved in the 1920s. It features the most wonderful designs in an excellent balance of strong deco lines and flowing organic details. At the top and bottom are two elegant fan-like designs, each set with three brilliant Old Mine cut diamonds. Then, set vertically between the fans are two more glittering Old Mine cut diamonds. On the left and right of the center diamonds are the most wonderful hand pierced scrolls that are enhanced with lightly carved details and delicate milgrain work. The main portion of the ring stair-steps its way to become the shank which begins with more light carvings on each shoulder. As is typical of Old Mine cut diamonds, each one is charmingly unique. Under magnification you can see each one's characteristics vary (roundness and size of culet for example) yet overall they work together beautifully to create an exquisite little ring! The total weight is approximately .12ct to .15ct. There is no hallmark present inside the ring but it does test appropriately for 18k. The measurement north to south across the center of the ring is 17mm. From east to west, measuring from where the shank starts on each side, is 12mm. The shank itself begins as 2mm and narrows slightly to 1.5mm at the base. Currently the ring measures as a 5-1/4 on the mandrel and is sizable upon request. This ring is a beautiful, wearable bit of Art Deco design. It would be an excellent right hand ring for a bride or a perfect gift for any woman that appreciates Art Deco jewelry!
