It just doesn't get any better than this! Not only is this Edwardian platinum watch absolutely gorgeous but the movement is just about the best you could ask for. In perfect working order, this mechanical movement was meticulously crafted by the world renowned C.H. Meylan company in Le Brassus, Switzerland. This company was recognized for producing the highest quality watch movements dating all the way back to the 1870s. C.H. Meylan movements were the obvious choice for the most exclusive jewelers of the day including Tiffany & Co. This particular watch dates from around 1910 to 1915 and was entirely hand made out of solid platinum with remarkable Edwardian details throughout. The case is carved all along the edges with a repeating pattern of scrolls, flowers and acanthus leaves. The face, framed with a bezel of 32 diamonds, is flanked north and south by the most extraordinarily carved scrolls. The platinum here is pierced all the way though, allowing light and shadow to enhance the delicate design which is studded with 9 additional diamonds. These upper and lower crown-like elements taper as they become the bracelet which consists of 34 fully articulated individual diamond set links. The profile on both sides of each bracelet link is carved with a repeated acanthus leaf pattern to match the decoration on the lower portion of the watch case. In total the diamond weight is approximately 3 carats. They are Old European cuts, all beautifully matched and very white. The tongue and groove clasp is invisible when closed as it is also set with a diamond on top. There is a small, decorated safety clip which is discreetly located on the underside of the final bracelet link. The back can be removed easily from the case to see the inner workings as well as the C.H. Meylan name. In addition, the mechanism is marked with the following information:

It's no exaggeration that this watch is top-of-the-line. Just glancing at it takes your breath away. Then when you take a moment and look closely at all the intricate details it's truly inspiring. What we have here is an extraordinarily fine piece of jewelry combined with possibly the highest quality watch movement. An incredible investment and an instant heirloom.
