Victorian en Tremblant Brooch, Rose Cut Diamonds, 18k and Silver Trembler

$895.00

This Victorian era brooch dates to the late 19th Century and is a delightful example of “en tremblant” jewelry. Literally translating to mean “trembling” the flower head is mounted discreetly on a tightly coiled spring causing it to dance around while worn. Crafted in 18k and silver with an old mine cut ruby in the flower and rose cut diamonds in each of the pointed leaves. A rose gold ribbon loosely wraps around the stems and a single natural pearl sits adorably at the end of the third stalk. From one end to the other the flower measures 2-1/2” long. The petals have a span of 1” from side to side. The pin mechanism on the back measures 1-1/2” including the French tube style clasp. So whimsical and lovely, a nice addition to any antique jewelry collection.
