The quality, condition and overall presence of this Victorian era bracelet has me utterly captivated. The rose and pear cut diamonds are impressively white and have an understated brilliance due to the pristine silver foil beneath them. So rarely do you see such a well-preserved example of this technique as the foil often cracks or discolors over time. Set amongst the intricate arrangement of diamonds are three lovely white pearls, the two outer measuring 4mm and the center 6.5mm. The upper, decorative portion of the bracelet was crafted in silver and has acquired an exquisite natural patina. The balance of the bracelet is a heavy gauge 14k gold. The clasp and hinge are discreet and work as beautifully as the day they were made. I can’t stress it enough, the quality of this piece is absolutely divine. The pear cut diamonds weigh approximately .50ct each, the two largest rose cuts weigh approximately .10ct each. A conservative estimate of all diamonds together is between 1.75 and 2 carats. The face of the bangle measures 14mm wide north to south across the center. The inner dimensions are approximately 2-1/4” from hinge to clasp and 2” high. The weight is 28.8g.
